HELD BY THE LIGHT (Unexpected Gift in the night)
Alone, I thought I'd never be,
Since that day You set me free.
But, my heart ached and moaned inside
For the one beside me could not "see."
Then: I FOUND MYSELF
Lifted up and held closely to Your breast in Pure Light so warm,
And, Love I'd never known. I want to remember that.
I pray this makes the reader hunger and thirst...
enough..to never cease pursuing Him.
For, He is very real.

GOD'S BEAUTY SHOP
God will give us a permanent wave if we go to His Beauty Shop in prayer. He'll take away our unruly thoughts and wash them in His Word. He will wind them tightly on rods of correction and apply a solution of understanding. He will then neutralize them with love. When finished, He will reset them and then send us to the drying desert to be completed. When He combs us out with testing, we will have permanent waves of Godly thoughts if we continue to keep regular appointmnents with our Divine Beautician.

STUCK ON MYSELF, OR MY OWN SELF STUCK?
Much is heard today about having a positive self image. Man's image was vrey positive in the day he was created, in God's own image. That image was lost when man sinned by disobeying God. Now, man's only hope for a genuine positive self image is to tbe changed into the image of Christ, who is the image of God.
Many years ago, there was a popular fad called "trading stamps." Many businesses gave out a stamp for every ten cents worth of purchase. These were stuck in a savings stamp book and redeemed for valuable gifts.
Like trading stamps, our value lies, not in ourselves, but in our redemption. We have been licked by the devil and stuck on earth. When sin's book was full, God sent His Son to purchase this book and redeem it.
The Bible says that, with God, one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. From that perspective of time, Jesus handed us over heaven's redemption counter at Calvary and is awaiting the ultimate return on His ultimate purchase.
Like stamps, we are worth nothing in ourselves, but only when redeemed.
Jesus was God's perfect Gift to us. He purchased us with His own blood and redeemed us. We are stuck sure in His Book of Life. Christ's return on His purchase will be His Bride. A Church without spot or wrinkle.

JEALOUSY/MY SON'S QUESTION
When my son was in his late teens, he asked, "Why is it okay for God to be jealous, but its not for us?" When I made no reply, he said, "You don't have an answer for that one, do you?" "No," I replied. "But He does."
After he had gone to bed, I inquired of The Lord. I saw no blinding flash of light, but the following thoughts flowed through my mind:
Our jealousy is not righteous jealousy, for it is fleshly and selfish. We are desiring something for ourselves that we do not wish to share. We want to possess the object of our jealousy, and bring it into bondage to ourselves. This is covetousness.
God's jealousy for His people is righteous jealousy, for it is spiritual and has only our good at heart. God desires us for Himself so we can all be one in Love. He wants us for His possession so that He can set us free and give us abundant life; For whom the Son makes free is free indeed.
It is Love, receiving to give, not giving to receive.

THE PEACE OF HIS PRESENCE
Listen with your heart, and I'll tell you if I can
The Peace of His Presence is more wonderful than:
The warmest blanket in the coldest place
The most radiant smile on the most beautiful face
The most beautiful music your ears ever heard
The height of comfort in a well chosen word
The Assurance a child feels in the midst of his fear
As he hears the voice of his mother draw near
A visit from your best friend you've not seen for years
The hand of a loved one dryng your tears
Everything that's gone wrong in your life made right
The brightest glow in your darkest night
If you hear with your heart, you'll wonder no more
Why I care if you answer His knock at your door
Please, listen with your heart, let your mind be at rest
I want you to know His very best
Listen with your heart, and I'll tell you if I can

RECEIVING, SOWING, GIVING, REAPING
God gives us His Word as seed to the sower. When we give to God our understanding of His Word, He gives us back the spiritual reality of His Word, pressed down, shaken together, and running over (life abundant), even through men (See Luke 6:38). For it is through that which we see that God shows us things unseen.
When we give God our loaves (that which we have made from the seed of His Word), He multiplies it back to us, and, through us, can feed multitudes. When we give Him our fish (the souls for which we pray), He multiplies our catch (harvest), and there are more fish (men) by which He can feed many more.
Only He can tell us what to speak to each soul individually, for only He knows each heart.
When we find that one Pearl of Great Price (The True Word), we will sell all that we have (our own understanding), and buy the field in which The Pearl was found, which is The Word by The Spirit.
He is The Key. He is The Word. He is The Spirit. Only He is worthy to loose the seals, and to open the Book back to our understanding. See Rev. 5
What we think we know, is passing away. Our rock (or word) is as chalkstone. It shall crumble; but, God's Word, which is Spirit shall spring forth. At first, we shall debate with it (Is. 27:4): but, by The Word of The Spirit, sin will be purged. "Hear what The Spirit says to the churches." (Rev. 2:29)
We are a city set on a hill, and we are full of doctrines which we defend; but, "the defenced city shall be desolate." Is. 27:10
The Great Trumpet sounds, and that which is ready to fall will fall, as did the walls of Jericho; for, "Except The Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it." (Ps. 127:1). When the last trumpet sounds, what God has built will be revealed, behind the walls that we have built with the stones of our carnal understanding of His Word.
As when Jacob wrestled with God, we shall wrestle. And, when He (The Truth) touches our thigh (foundation), it will become weak, just as Jacob limped, when God touched his thigh. This is truly a blessing, for His strength is made perfect in our weakness. And, when that when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be put away.
Christ, The Truth, shall appear, and on His thigh is written, "King of Kings and Lord of Lords." On this we shall stand: The Blessed/Revealed Word of God.

GOD'S ARMY
In clouds of glory, He shall come
Those very clouds shall be
These lowly earthern vessels
God gave us, you and me.
When Gideon's trumpets sounded
The pitchers broke in two.
So, when the last trump sounds for us
We'll break out, me and you.
Our Light will shine in that dark hour
Men's faces gather shame
As lightening, we shall light the earth
Our faces be as flames
God's not raising an army up
To up and fly away
But, one that's robed and ready
He wants those who can stay
We've listened to the words of man
For, oh! so very long
That when God tries to speak to us
We think His words are wrong
We hold fast to man-made doctrines
Avoid God's Spirit True
But, when we stand before the Lord
Excuses will not do
Though most are sure we'll "fly away"
God's voice is being heard
And if we listen just to Him
With Truth, our loins, will gird.
Up in The Spirit, caught away
Closed 'round with peace in God
Till angels gather all the tares
Then, we will rule this sod.
A thousand years we'll rule and reign
Till chaos starts again
And then He'll put a final end,
To all earth's evil men
A city new, just built for us
Is what awaits us then
Eternal Joy forevermore
Is what we are to win.
So, when, in church, they start to sing
"Oh, we shall fly away"
Remember, God's preparing us
As shining stars to stay
God says, by haste, we'll not go out
So, what's this taught by man
Caught up with Him in perfect peace
With armour on, we'll stand!!!
CONSIDER THE SOURCE
Gentle spirit, please don't grieve
When words pierce through your soul
The lips that launch these firey darts
Are playing Satan's role
Lips that speak what he directs
Become the gates of Hell
And Jesus said, against His Church
These gates shall not prevail
Stand fast before Hell's floodgates
Arrayed in battle gear
In Jesus, know just who you are
Though some cannot yet hear
Love that stands steadfast through pain
Enduring, shall prevail
How else will many captives find
A sure release from Hell?
Mighty soldier, full of Love
Do not flee in remorse
Shield off, with Faith, the darts of Hell
Consider their real source

JUST A NOTE
When I write poetry (of sorts), it is not just a rhyme. It really says something (at least to me, when I wrote it). It is not something to skim over. I felt like I needed to point that out. These were written many years ago, and this was the only way I knew how to express some things I was "seeing," in the shortest way I knew how.
FROM BAPTISM TO BRIDE
The water of Your Word is washing
Away the dirt of man
In the one baptism You spoke of
Into your Holy Plan
Come, wash us dear Lord, in your water
Deliver us from drought
Fill up our vessels to the brim
Then, gently, pour us out
The water with which You have washed us
Will be turned into wine
In all these over-flowing vessels
That cling untoTheVine
Blest Bridegroom of the Wedding Feast
With joy, Your blushing Bride
Drinks in deeply the fruit of YourLove
Forever, by Your side
So happy to be poured out for You
Till nothing's left of self
Thus, making room for all Your riches
She glories in Your wealth
Blest son, sister, brother, and friend
Mother, behold my Wife
I loved Her even unto death
And now We reign in Life
"That He might sanctify and cleanse it, with the washing of water by The Word."
Ephesians 5:26 May we immerse ourselves in The Word, for this is The Washing.

THE ROLES OF THE ENEMY: DO NOT BE HIS STAGE
I have lived long enough to discover that in every group; school, community, club, church, whatever, there are people who fill every role. There are the sweet, the sour, the bitter, the helper, the leech, the bully, and on and on. The answer is to overcome adversity; that which comes through others and through our own selves. We have to KNOW who we are. It is often difficult, as are most worthwhile endeavors. What if Jesus just quit when He was treated mean or misunderstood or reviled OR beaten? No!!! He went ALL the way. If I had quit when I felt hurt or misunderstood, I would be "the mother of all quitters". I refuse to let the enemy win this time. If he does, it won't be because I walked away. This time, I am walking towards the "roar." The flesh and blood of others is not the enemy. The enemy is unseen. He just wants us to see one another as the enemy. Everyone has two sides. Which will win in us? The wheat, or the tares? Think about it. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." Ephesians 6:10-18

THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERING
Have you ever prayed to be like Christ? If so, did you expect life to become easier? Or, if it were easier, did you expect it to stay that way? "Though He were a Son, yet He learned obedience, through the things that He suffered." Heb. 5:8 Did you expect those you love to understand your deeper devotion to Christ?" He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief." Is. 53:3 Did you expect a deeper fellowship with those closest to you, who share your belief in God, The Father? "My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death. Tarry here and watch." Mk. 14:34 "Simon, do you sleep? Couldn't you watch one hour?" Mk. 14:37 This, also, He found on the second and third return, yet He loved them still, and did not forsake them.. And, they all forsook Him and fled." Mk. 14:50 And, consider. "From that time, many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more." Jn. 6:66 Peter, the rock, denied Him three times. Jn. 18:17, 25,27 "They sought Him that He would depart out of their coasts." Mk. 8:34 "And they were offended at Him." Mk. 6:3 "They were filled with wrath at what He said." Lu. 4:28 "They sought to throw Him from the hill of the city." Lu. 4:29 They chose a thief to live, and Him to die." Lu. 25:18 "He came to His own, and they received Him not." Jn. 1:11 He was misunderstood. "The Son of Man, came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a man gluttonous, and a wine bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.' " Lu. 7:34, Matt.11:19 "And, the scribes and pharisees watched Him, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him." Lu. 6:7
His own misunderstood Him. The more of God they saw in Him, the more He was hated. They tried to make Him fit into their mold, but He was too big. So they killed Him. But, because He went through to the death and victory, and did not turn the other way, some are changed, and have eternal life. "When they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and the same day, there were added unto them about three thousand souls." Acts 2:37 and 41
If we seek to be like Christ, shall we, then, turn and retreat from, seemingly, unbearable pain and hardship and suffering? He has truly said He will never leave us or forsake us, but shall we turn and retreat from our firey trial? Has He said, "Turn and retreat, for I will retreat with you. The trial is too hard?" Or, has He said otherwise? "Who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able, but will with the temptation, also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1Cor. 10:13 If we turn from our problems, they will be always behind us. If we face them, we can go over, under, or through them. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not over-flow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon you." Is. 43:2 He was with the three Hebrew children in the firey furnace. Their skin was not scorched, their hair was not singed, and the smell of smoke was not upon them. "The Captain of our salvation was made perfect through suffering.." Heb. 2:10 "For in that He, Himself, both suffered, being tempted, He is able to succor those that are tempted." Heb. 2:18 "For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin." Heb. 4:15
I do not believe we can ever, in this life, understand what Jesus did or what He suffered. But, how can we come close if we aren't crushed? "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto his death." Phil. 3:10
"You shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But, he that endures to the end shall be saved." Mt. 10:22
"Blessed are you when all men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake". Mt. 5:11
"If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you." Jn. 15:18
I am not as bad as some people think I am.
I am not as good as some people think I am.
I am what I am.
I am not yet what I shall be.
I shall be all that I ever hoped or dreamed.
I shall be perfect, because..........

A MEDLEY
The wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament. They that turn many to righteousness, as the stars forever and ever ("They who win souls are wise"). Daniel 12
Stars are light........beautiful..........high......lifted up (above). They are the beauty of the heavens. Whatsoever is bound in earth, is bound in Heaven. A bound star does not shine. Loose forgiveness, and shine.
Lights Guide, Not Houses
Lighthouses don't go out to sea, and pull struggling vessels ashore. They just shine through the night, with a steady bright light, and guide through the storms mighty roar. Make me a Lighthouse that's shining, no matter how stormy the sea., guiding lost ones to Light, even in darkest night, by The Light that shines, not by me.

Make me a Lighthouse that's shining, no matter how stormy the sea., guiding lost ones to Light, even in darkest night, by The Light that shines, not by me.

CLOUDS OF THANKSGIVING
He brought me to His Banqueting Table,
He brought me to His Banqueting Table,
And, before me, opened His Word,
To teach me things far more wonderful
Than any I've ever heard.
Things I have never before understood,
He's begun to explain to me.
My spiritual eyes, which Satan blinded,
He has healed, and now I can see.
How I praise you, my Shepherd, now my King.
I love you with all of my heart.
We are bound by Truth now, forevermore.
And we'll nevermore have to part.
Your Truth has descended into my heart,
As my heart rose in praise to You.
You have turned the water into wine,
And are making all things anew.
I am no longer in the world below.
For I'm high in the clouds with you.
And though we are hidden, still to the world,
Through the clouds, The Son will shine through.
And, when The Son shines through in His fullness,
Every man, on his face, shall fall.,
And cry out to The King of All Glory,
"Christ Jesus is Lord over all!"

SEEING HIM AS HE IS
Many try God on, to see how He fits what they want to do, and cast Him off, when He "doesn't deliver." Of those who learn His Word and apply it to their lives, how many will be willing *to lay down those first natural precepts for a New Thing.......The revelation of Christ that will allow them to see Him as He is?* How many will be able to say, "Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord?" It is written, "You will not see me henceforth, until you say, "Blessed is he that comes in the name of The Lord." When He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."
Are we now asking, "When, where, and how did He instruct us to do this? Jesus often taught with parables, knowing that only true seekers would understand. The seed that fell on good ground brought forth a harvest, some 30, some 60, and some 100. The word seed of our first understanding has to fall to the earth (that is us), and die, to bring forth the harvest of spiritual understanding God desires for His own.
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Is our thinking carnal or spiritual? Are we willing to die to what we think, so that Jesus can raise up within us, the real harvest that is the revelation of who He is, of what The Word is spiritually? Why didn't all spring up 100 fold? Could it have been that, some only let some of "the seed" they held die, but held onto the rest?
Now, Christ is raised, and His Word says that we are to know Him, and one another, no more after the flesh man we first learned about, and who artists have tried to depict, but after The Spirit. In an appearance to His disciples after His resurrection, when they thought He was a ghost, He told them to feel and see that a spirit did not have flesh and bone as He now had. He did not mention blood. The life of our flesh is in the blood. The life of His is of The Spirit.
In The Word, the flesh is called, "evil." Satan is the evil one, who appeared in The Garden, as a serpent. His head is crushed under our feet, when we walk in The Spirit. How can we truly walk in The Spirit, if we do not see, hear, and understand in The Spirit? Moses lifted up the brazen serpent in the desert on a pole, and the sick who looked on it were healed. Jesus was lifted up at Calvary. We are healed now, when we look at what it is we need to crucify. Jesus became sin (flesh). That is what was lifted up and nailed to the cross. Golgotha means, place of the skull. This hill even looks like a skull. This was not coincidence. It is our natural fleshly understanding ( in our skulls) we need to let die, by laying it down, so that in this third day, God can resurrect His Word in us, The Word by the Spirit. He is The Word. Then we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

So, in conclusion: Don't cast Him off. He will deliver what He said He would, when we do what He told us to do. Don't cast Him off. Let the seed of your first understanding die, and wait for God to give you the revelation knowledge contained in that seed. Do not be afraid to do this. For He has said, "Fear not, little flock. It is The Father's good pleasure to give you The Kingdom." Perfect Love casts out fear, and The Kingdom comes, when His will is done.

What Does God's Word Say The Seed Is?
It got to the point in my "learning" to hear God's voice, that I was sure He was speaking to me, every time I would hear someone speak of sowing a seed of any amount of "money," into this or that ministry, and expecting a "hundred fold," or more, return from God. I kept "hearing" in my spirit, "The seed is not money!" The Word of God calls money, "filthy lucre." Consider the following:
Titus 1:11
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
1 Peter 5:2
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
I began asking God about sowing. I also searched The Word. So far, I have not found one single place, where the "seed" is speaking of "money."
I learned that the seed is three things: 1. The Word of God 2. Jesus, The Son of God 3. The children of The Kingdom.
Anyone that has seen seed used in another context, in The Word, please leave the reference in the comments section.
Next time, I would like to share some things about sowing and reaping. Have a blessed weekend.

GOD'S ARMOUR
Am I a soldier of The Lord,
Strong in the might of God?
Am I ready for his orders?
Am I a soldier of The Lord,
Strong in the might of God?
Am I ready for his orders?
Do I watch for His nod?
Do I have all my armour on,
To stand against the foe?
Could I, right now, stand against him,
Should God now bid me go?
Do I have Truth girt round my loins?
Herein does my strength lie
With it, I know I can stand,
With my head held up high.
Is my righteousness that of God,
Worn as my breastplate proud?
Or do I think that mine can win?
Have I, to Jesus, bowed?
Am I prepared with God's good news,
To set the captives free?
Are my feet shod, ready to go,
Or do I , bare feet see?
Is my shield all shined and ready,
And held up sure and strong?
My shield of faith the darts to quench,
Those darts of hurt and wrong.
Is Jesus' covering on my head?
Is my salvation sure?
His salvation is my helmet.
Of Him, I can be sure.
Is my sword drawn and ready?
No lion that every roared,
Can turn one, in his tracks around,
Like words of Christ my Lord.
Am I praying in The Spirit,
With earnest seeking heart,
And watching out for God's dear saints?
Am I doing my part?
Am I a soldier of my Lord?
Have I done all I can?
If I have surely done my part,
Then God will make me stand.

PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM
I have heard for years, "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem." But, whenever I have tried to, it just hasn't flowed. I have pondered this for many years. I have never heard anyone present this directive in any other way than to pray for that little city that is geographically located in the Middle East.
I have heard for years, "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem." But, whenever I have tried to, it just hasn't flowed. I have pondered this for many years. I have never heard anyone present this directive in any other way than to pray for that little city that is geographically located in the Middle East.
I have been believing for quite a long while that there is a Jerusalem within us, and that it is this Jerusalem we are to pray for. We are a city set on a hill. The word, Jerusalem means The City of Peace. It is in the midst of Israel, and The Church is, spiritually, Israel.........as in,
1 Peter 2:9 ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; Some say not to talk to family members about the things of God. Just be quiet and live it before them. There are many scriptures about quietness and stillness. "Stand still and see the salvation of God." "I shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." There are many. However, there are also many about speaking The Word. "Teach these things to your children, when you rise up and when you lie down and when you walk in the way." "Be instant in season and out of season." There are many.
Good friends that love God and me, say people should not preach to their loved ones. I keep hearing The Lord say, "My Word shall not come back to me void." And, I keep hearing Him say, "Listen to me. Trust me."
I believe that the enemy is the one saying to be quiet, in the wrong context. The quiet, and the silence is to be in us, In our Jerusalem. In our city of Peace. But in the world outside, we are to speak up. The majority of our kids are running headlong into Hell, but we won't speak The Word to them, because they may be offended and never repent. I am being convinced that we have been WRONG! It is within our temple that Peace has to dwell, when we speak The Word.
A while back, I asked someone, "Which had you rather hear about if you had to choose one, about the church, or about The Word?" They said, "The Word."
Last night my pastor said that the church needs to leave the building, and then, that Christ was crucified outside The City. I saw that it is not just our inner Jerusalem that we are to pray peace for, it is the Church. Jesus said, "You are a city set on a hill," It is us as a whole (The Church). When the folks in the geographical Jerusalem, see the corporate peace in the midst of the church, the whole world will see Him.....The Prince of Peace........ruling and reigning in the midst of our "City," Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:10
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zechariah 12:9-11 (in Context) Zechariah 12 (Whole Chapter)
So when the church leaves THE BUILDING (and the unbelievers in it), and goes out into the highways and byways to bring them in, they will come in, and the house will be full. And we who have sought Him and studied His Word, can serve these poor, hungry and dry "dregs of society," from The Master's banquet table.
Matt. 8:8 Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For years, this has been ringing in my "ears".
Some of the young, perhaps most of them, do not like to read, so they need to hear. It is fear that holds us back. We look at their faces, and "speculate," what they will think or do, or not do. Jeremiah was instructed,"Do not look at their faces, less I confound you before them."
The conclusion of the matter is: Pray for the peace of the Jerusalem within. Go out into the world and speak The Word with boldness, and bring the harvest in. It is ready. Spiritual Armageddon has begun.
Ecclesiastes 11:4
"He that observes the wind shall not sow." Don't folks come to church wanting to see a manifestation of The Spirit, and
to feel something? and "He that regards the clouds shall not reap." One meaning of "cloud" is thick copious clay. It is us. We sit in church and observe the wind of The Spirit, and we watch what others are doing. We are to go into the world and preach the gospel of The Kingdom. We were not meant to be observers, but to be observed. What is the world seeing?
